What We Believe

The Bible

We believe that the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God for living the Christian faith. (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Revelations 22:18-19)

The Trinity

We believe there is one living God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10, Matthew 3:16-17, John 10:30, John 17:3, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Matthew 28:19, John 14:26)

Jesus

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ became a man, not denying His deity, but was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. We believe Jesus lived perfectly, performed miracles, substituted Himself on our behalf, and that He was unjustly murdered because He claimed to be God. We believe Jesus resurrected from the dead, defeating death and sin so we could have life. We believe that Jesus elevated to Heaven at the right hand of God and that He is coming again to judge the living and the dead. (Luke 1:31, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews 7:26, 1 Peter 3:18, 1 John 5:11-12, 1 John 5:20, John 3:16, Galatians 4:4, Matthew 27-28, 2 Timothy 4:1, Romans 5:8)

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit indwelling believers, enabling a life that glorifies God, convicting people of sin, and regenerating people so they would have eternal life. (John 15:26, 2 Corinthians 3:5, John 3:3-5, Titus 3:5-6, 1 Corinthians 3:16)

Salvation

We believe in regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because all are sinners. We believe people must repent and have faith alone in Jesus, responding to the gift of salvation that comes through the shed blood of Christ. (Isaiah 53:6, Romans 5:18-19, Ephesians 2:8-12, Romans 5:1, Titus 3:5-6, 1 John 1:1, John 3:18, Colossians 1:20, Hebrews 9:14, Hebrews 9:28)

Eternity

We believe in the resurrection of those who believe in Jesus and those who have rejected Him. We believe those who trust in Jesus will have eternal life with Christ and those who reject Jesus will have eternal punishment in hell. (John 10:28, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, Mark 16:16, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-10)

The Church

We believe that Jesus established the church through the Holy Spirit by the preaching of God’s Word, community, breaking of bread, and prayer to empower believers to go into all the world and make disciples. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Ephesians 2:19, Ephesians 5:26, 1 Corinthians 11:24-26, Ephesians 4:11-13, Matthew 16:18, Matthew 28:19, Hebrews 10:24-25)
