Thanks for visiting our site. We are a people who have been changed by Jesus and desire others to experience forgiveness and freedom through the shed blood of our risen Savior. Take a look around and learn more about who we are.
Our worship gatherings are currently held in the cafeteria at Holualoa Elementary School and are pretty casual, so come as you are. Get here early and enjoy a brewed coffee on the house and talk story with us. Our 9:30am service has Gospel-centered music and a message from God's Word. If you have children, we offer a keiki ministry so kids can learn about Jesus at their level.
Coming to church can be intimidating so we want you to know what can be expected. This is your invitation to see what we are all about and join the mission of reaching our island for Jesus.
Our vision at Shorebreak is simple: amplify Jesus. Our entire existence as a church and people is to make much of Jesus.
Our mission at Shorebreak is to empower believers and reach the lost, through the Gospel, all for the
glory of God.
Shorebreak is a non-denominational church plant that started in a living room, which quickly became too small. After praying and fasting about where God would have our small church meet, we had our first worship gathering on July 1st, 2012 at 6pm with a handful of people.
God faithfully added to the church family and on February 12, 2013, we had our first Sunday morning worship gathering. Jesus continuously added to His church and several months later we started a second service to reach more people with the good news about Jesus.
We have seen continued grow and life transformation, only by His grace. We are thankful for our volunteers and church who are committed to support the vision as we see God’s plan unfold for the Big Island and Shorebreak.
We are a part of the Sojourn Network to be a church that plants churches.
Shorebreak does not belong to us, it belongs to Jesus. We believe that Jesus is the Senior Pastor and the One who builds the church. While Christ is our cornerstone, the Bible tells us that He appoints qualified and anointed men to lead and teach people the Word of God. In response to the wonderful grace found in Christ, the following attributes define who we are and what we do:
1. Preach the Word 2. Baptize 3. Serve Communion 4. Evangelize 5. Unified by the Spirit 6. Sanctified for Holiness 7. Love Jesus and one another
The pastoral leadership of Shorebreak is held accountable to its board of directors and pastors who lead other local churches.
