God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit dwell in perfect community from eternity past. We were created in His image, and one expression of bearing His image is living in community.
Sin separated our communion with God and one another. It is through Gospel-centered groups that we intentionally challenge one another to make much of Jesus.
Not only did Jesus save us from eternal condemnation, but we were saved into His ohana - the Church. Just as a physical body relies on its members to function, so the body of Christ reveals that we are interconnected and dependent on one another for spiritual vitality.
This is why we emphasize Gospel-centered community in addition to our other communities, such as work, family, and unbelieving relationships.
